The '7th Heaven' alum has filed legal documents for his upcoming divorce trial, asking judge to eliminate any future spousal support payments to his estranged wife, Faye Grant.

AceShowbiz - Stephen Collins has asked a judge to terminate any future spousal support payments to his estranged wife, Faye Grant. According to the Associated Press, his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan filed a trial brief on Friday, November 7 saying that his client lost all future earning power due to the posting of an audio recording of him confessing to child molestation on TMZ last month.

According to TMZ, Stephen claimed he was axed from "Ted 2" after the site posted the audio which was recorded during a therapy session with his wife in 2012. He was due to be paid $75,000 for the role in the movie. "Spousal support should be zero, as a result of the unlawful recording that was disseminated to the media," Mark stated.

Faye previously denied she had anything to do with the emergence of the recording. "I woke up today to learn that an extremely private recording I handed over to the authorities in 2012 per their request in connection with a criminal investigation was recently disseminated to the press," she said in a statement at that time, "I had no involvement whatsoever with the release of the tape to the media."

Stephen and Faye got married in 1985. The 67-year-old actor filed for divorce from Faye in 2012 and had agreed to pay Faye a $13,000 monthly spousal support.

A trial on how to divide the couple's assets is set for Wednesday.
