Chris Brown has just dodged jail in two assault cases. The R&B star reportedly had to spend more than $100,000 to settle two lawsuits launched against him by two different persons involved in separate incidents taking place last year and earlier this year.

The troubled singer, with the help of his lawyer Mark Geragos, avoided probation, jail and fines by striking a plea deal in the criminal case in which he was accused of punching a man in Washington D.C. a year ago. He pleaded guilty to simple assault and settled the case for $100K, TMZ reports.

The site also says that Brown settled another case with Frank Ocean's cousin. Ocean's cousin sued the "Loyal" singer for $3 million after Brown got into a fight with Ocean's posse at a West Hollywood recording studio in January, but the plaintiff reportedly agreed not to pursue the case for under $20,000.

Brown is still in probation after he assaulted his then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He has been serving community service and recently got good review from the judge during progress hearing.
