CNN is taking on a possible controversial theme, marijuana business, for its next original show. The network has ordered eight episodes of new series called "High Profits" which is scheduled to launch in 2015.

The show will follow Brian Rogers and Caitlin McGuire, Breckenridge Cannabis Club owners who are described as two business-minded, relentless individuals with a plan to franchise marijuana.

Each episode will show these business partners as they manage a chain of retail marijuana stores, one of the largest grow facilities in the state, and work to build their franchise empire. According to a press release, "employee issues and customers' demands. Product growth and testing. Newfound wealth and serious safety concerns. Complicated taxes and unfriendly banks. Political games and legal hurdles," are among the issues that they have to deal with.

Austin-based Bat Bridge Entertainment will produce "High Profits". CNN gave a greenlight to the show months after Colorado became the first state in the country to legalize the use and sale of recreational marijuana.
