An eager fan has found a way to get close to his favorite star, Miley Cyrus. An Australian fan named Anthony Skinner recently told BBC Newsbeat that he gained access to the backstage of her concert in Sydney's All Phones Arena on Friday, October 17 by pretending to be a cleaner.

The 23-year-old fan shared that the idea of dressing up as a cleaner emerged when he saw the door to a cleaner's storeroom was left open. "I looked around and on the floor there's a pair of boots, and on the couch there's this hi-vis vest. My mindset was 'See how far you can take this.' It wasn't planned at all. Everything just fell into place so perfectly," he said.

"It was such tight security, they weren't letting anyone in and they let me in because I was pushing a bin," Skinner said, before adding that the guards "didn't even look at me." Inside, the diehard fan started cleaning the room while waiting for Cyrus. "I just started emptying bins, sweeping up the floor and stuff. I'm cleaning up for about 40 minutes to an hour. Not pretending to clean up, actually cleaning," he said.

Skinner eventually had a chance to see his favorite singer in person from close proximity when she was about to leave. "My whole brain just emptied. I saw her and froze. All I could get out was, 'Hey.' She looked at me, smiled and just kept walking," he said. Skinner documented the experience on his Twitter account, sharing a photo of him as a cleaner and a note which he wanted to give to Cyrus.
