Fox reportedly has been in talks 'for a while now' regarding a live-action series centering on the mutant heroes.

AceShowbiz - Another comic character could get TV treatment. 20th Century Fox has reportedly been in "deep development" on a live-action series centering on "X-Men" characters for a while now. Bleeding Cool first reported the news before other outlets like eatgeekplay.com and E! News confirm the story.

Other details are not available now as the studio and FOX network are not commenting on the news. It's also noted that there's no deal in place, but should the project come to fruition, it will end up on FOX.

The latest "X-Men" movie, "X-Men: Days of Future Past", was released in May this year and has grossed $746 million worldwide. Recent rumor said Marvel banned comic authors from creating new characters for "X-Men" graphic novel since those characters will automatically be owned by Fox for movie adaptation, fueling reports that the two companies are currently in a dispute.
