More details about Kanye West's new album have emerged. The rapper's longtime collaborator and G.O.O.D. Music signee Malik Yusef shares some new information about the highly-anticipated LP and reveals what fans can expect from the record in a new interview with Rolling Stone.

According to Yusef, the yet-to-be-titled album will be different from its predecessor, last year's "Yeezus". Asked to describe how the project sounds like, he compares it to a pair of boots, saying, "It's like a pair of Timberlands; like how Timberlands are not quite leather and not quite suede."

"It's not the smooth, slick Chicago music sound we have right now and it's not the ruggedness of just 'hip-hop hip-hop hip-hop.' We're still working like a motherf**ker. We've been all around the world [recording]," he explains.

Yusef continues that West already has "20 finished songs" for the album and the recording process has been smoother than "Yeezus". "We fought over 'Yeezus' every day, there was no friendly disagreements," he reveals. "It was definitely a war. It's 'I don't give a f**k, Malik. It's a Kanye album, not a Malik Yusef album.' Kanye's kicked me off the label eight times."

West's highly-anticipated album still has no official release date. However, he has stated in several interviews that it will come out this year. A two-minute snippet of the record's first single "All Day" leaked back in August. It's still unclear when fans will finally get to listen to the song's official version.
