Klaus and Elijah's lives are far from peace on "The Originals". After getting rid of their enemies in the season 2 premiere, they will be surprised by the return of their father, Mikael. In a preview for the next episode, Elijah is seen getting into a violent fight with his dad.

Meanwhile, tensions between Elijah and Hayley grow, and Klaus decides to step in and encourage her to regain her position within her werewolf pack. Still under Davina's control, Mikael grows impatient while she attempts to uncover a spell that would protect those closest to her.

When Elijah turns to Marcel for help in tracking down a vital piece of information, he is forced to remember a time long ago when they were on better terms. Meanwhile, Davina and Kaleb (guest star Daniel Sharmon) find themselves in a dangerous situation when unexpected visitors show up and crash their dinner. Finally, Klaus grows suspicious after a meeting with Cassie (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss) doesn't go as he had planned.

"Alive and Kicking" will air Monday, October 13 at 8/7c on The CW.

In the recently aired season premiere, [SPOILER ALERT!] Klaus, Elijah and Hayley exacted their revenge on the Guerrera werewolves while Finn and Kol were back inhabiting witch bodies. Executive producer Michael Narducci tells E! News that Francesca's pack was killed off as the second season will focus on "the return of mother and father, and ... the return of the brothers as well."

"We played that out very quickly in one episode so we could see what's even more evil and terrible than Francesca and her pack of werewolves. What's Davina going to do with Mikael? What does Esther have planned with these brothers? That's going to be our dramatic focus," he teases.
