'Deadpool' Would Be Part of Larger 'X-Men' Universe
Movie

Although this would feature a totally new Deadpool version, the movie will be linked to other 'X-Men' stories.

AceShowbiz - Fans have been wondering how Deadpool would be incorporated into the "X-Men" universe, knowing that he's an on and off member of the extended family. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" writer and producer Simon Kinberg revealed the character's upcoming movie would indeed be part of the larger and expanding "X-Men" movie franchise.

"There's definitely a sort of overall plan that we've all been talking about for the X-Men universe now, and Deadpool obviously fits into that," Kinberg told ComicBook.com. "So yeah, I guess I would say it's part of certainly an overall timeline and thought process that goes into these films, some of which is inspired by the comics and some which is inspired by seeing what Marvel's done with telling a larger tapestry and linking all those movies together, even as they stand independently as well. The same kind of thought is going to go into these X-Men movies at Fox."

"Deadpool" was in the state of limbo for a while before Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Comics announced that it was in development for a February 12, 2016 release. Ryan Reynolds slips back to the character, saying previously that it had no connection to the one that was in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine".

With Kinberg's revelation comes the possibilities of Deadpool making cameos in other "X-Men" movies and crossovers.
