After AMC ordered a pilot for "The Walking Dead" spin-off, new scoop from the project has emerged. TVLine claims to have learned six principal characters that will appear on the potential new series.
They include Sean Cabrera, a Latino in his early 40s who is described as "a good man trying to do right by everyone in his life." Sean has a teenage son named Cody who is "whip-smart" yet "rebellious" and is dubbed "the angriest kid in town."
There's also Nancy Tompkins, a single mom in her 30s and has two kids. "Nancy looks like the girl next door, but there's an edge to her," so the site reports. Nancy's teenage son Nick is "screwed up... He's too old to stay home, too scared to flee." Nancy's daughter Ashley is "mostly level-headed. Her ambition is in direct proportion to her older brother's failures. She loves her mom but it's time to get out of Dodge."
The show will also feature a character named Andrea Chapman, who is different from the one portrayed by Laurie Holden on "Walking Dead". This new Andrea is described as "a somewhat wilted flower child." She's in her 40s and "has retreated to the outskirts of the city to recover after a horrible marriage."
The spin-off is co-created and co-written by Robert Kirkman, the mastermind behind "The Walking Dead" comic series. "There are many corners of 'The Walking Dead' universe that remain unseen in the shadows. Being given the opportunity to shine a light into those corners and see what lurks out there is an absolute thrill," he said earlier this month when AMC announced the pilot order.
