It's a war spirit for Rick and the gang. A new trailer for the fifth season of "The Walking Dead" reveals 30 seconds of intense footage filled up by zombies attack. "It's not over until we're all dead," Rick says in the trailer.

The video starts at Terminus which apparently is raided by a bunch of walkers on fire. It looks like the group gets separated again and Sasha says, "Three of us are gone." Then Carol, the character once too weak to notice, screams madly, "Where are they?!" while cocking her gun.

"The first six minutes are among the most intense minutes of 'The Walking Dead', period, let alone the opening of an episode," writer Scott M. Gimple previously told TVLine. "It gets very intense very quick, very terrifying very quick. And then throughout the season it kind of ramps up between like sort of electric and acoustic sets."

Giving another hint at the season premiere, producer Robert Kirkman said, "There's a lot going on with Terminus. In our premiere episode of season 5 we're going to give a ton of answers of who the people of Terminus are, what they're doing, why they're doing it, what's going on with them. And by the end of that episode you're going to have a much better understanding of what's going on with them and why they're so important to the show."

"The Walking Dead" returns Sunday, October 12 at 9:00 P.M. ET on AMC.
