Alex Kurtzman gave another update on "Venom Carnage" movie. "The Amazing Spider-Man" co-scribe who gets promoted to serve behind the lens for the Spidey spin-off says he is still deciding who will wear the Venom symbiote. In the comic books, the suit has been worn by a series of characters like Peter Parker, Eddie Brock and Harry Osborn.
"I would not say it's an easy choice," he said. "I would say that there are quite a few things about Venom that are interesting. Venom had several different iterations, and there are several things that are very unique, interesting and specific. And so I think we all want to make sure that we're making the right choices for a character that's so beloved."
Speaking with Comic Book Resources, Kurtzman said the project was still in early stages of development. "Yeah, before last Friday came out, we started kind of roughing out a story. Ed Solomon's going to be writing it very soon. I can't tell you too much, but I'm really excited about it," he spilled.
The screenwriter previously teased that the movie would push the boundaries that "Spider-Man" movies normally wouldn't cross. "He's a much darker character. I wouldn't even really say more complicated because I think they're both very complicated characters, but I think the attraction for me to Venom is the idea that you can do things that you can't do with Spider-Man," he explained.
