Hank Williams biopic "I Saw the Light" finds a leading lady in Elizabeth Olsen. The "Godzilla" actress who will next play Scarlet Witch in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is tapped to portray the late musician's wife Audrey Mae.
The 25-year-old star joins fellow Marvel star Tom Hiddleston. The Brit who takes on the role of Loki in the studio's Cinematic Universe is set to play the Alabama country music crooner in the biographical film to be directed by Marc Abraham.
The film depicts the story of the legendary singer who in his brief life created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music. It is going to chronicle his meteoric rise to fame and its ultimately tragic effect on his health and personal life.
The "Only Lovers Left Alive" actor is expected to do his own singing in the movie and cover classic hits like "Your Cheatin' Heart", "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" and "Hey Good Lookin' ". He gave a little taste of his country twang at the recent Wheatland Music Festival with his cover of "Move It on Over".
