"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1" debuts its final poster before the film launches the first trailer. In the poster released on the film's Twitter account, Katniss Everdeen stands front and center with fiery Mockingjay behind her.
At the same time, a teaser is also released counting down to a new "Mockingjay, Part 1" trailer that will arrive on Monday, September 15. Katniss picks up a white rose that President Snow left for her, a scene taken straight out of Suzanne Collins' book. "Miss Everdeen, it's the things we love most that destroy us," Snow says in the teaser.
In "Mockingjay, Part 1", Katniss reluctantly leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol after previously competing in a deadly televised game. Capitol bans "any association of the Mockingjay symbol," putting Katniss' life and her loved ones' in danger.
The first installment of the final movie will raid theaters Stateside on November 21.
