"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." shared first footage of season 2 in a new promo video. Interspered with scenes from the first season, the never-before-seen footage shows Skye, who sports a new haircut, with former agent Ward among other things.
The video features a voiceover by now-Director Coulson. "The enemy has the advantage," he says, "But we have to fight on for those we've lost, so the sacrifices they made were not made in vain."
Revealing his heroic plans to the agents, he adds, "We disappear, become ghosts. That's how we have to live now - in the shadows, to protect the innocent. To save lives, even when they don't know it."
The second season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." premieres Tuesday, September 23 at 9/8c on ABC. It will introduce some new faces such as Adrianne Palicki's Bobbi Morse a.k.a. Mockingbird, Reed Diamond's Daniel Whitehall and Lucy Lawless' Agent Isabelle Hartley. The latter is an original character created for the TV series and is described as "a long-time S.H.I.E.L.D. veteran."
