The actress will join the drama series as a romantic pairing for Kevin Bacon's character Ryan Hardy.

AceShowbiz - Zuleikha Robinson has landed a role on FOX's "The Following" as a series regular, a rep for the show confirms to Deadline. Robinson will join the drama as a new girlfriend of FBI Agent Ryan Hardy when it returns for season three.

Robinson will play Gwen, an ER doctor who is also a mother of a 7-year-old girl. She will be Hardy's first real chance at a family and true happiness. "She's a doctor. We are living together. And she has a daughter. Ryan is trying some domesticity," Kevin Bacon said when the cast and producers of the show discussed Robinson's role at Comic-Con.

"He will truly be in a better place in his life," Bacon continued, "he's open to real and lasting relationships. We jump ahead again and we see a man who's a little more at peace."

"Ryan finds love, and he's in an incredibly happy place, but we're going to challenge that," showrunner Jennifer Johnson added.

A dark conspiracy will cause everyone who lives in New York to live in fear. Gwen and Hardy's solid relationship will be challenged as he's obsessed with finding the person behind the conspiracy and ending it.

Robinson, who is represented by Gersh at Industry and attorney Howard Fishman, is best known for playing Ilana Verdansky on ABC's "Lost". She has also appeared on "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland", USA Network's "Covert Affairs" and Showtime's "Homeland".
