20th Fox Century has released a new trailer for its animated comedy "The Book of Life". While not shedding much light on the plotline, the video can certainly capture the hearts of moviegoers with the colorful and stunning visuals.
The Guillermo del Toro-produced movie follows Manolo, who is described as a not-your-typical prince charming. This young man is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart, as he falls in love with the beautiful Maria, who is also wooed by the charming Joaquin.
Before choosing which path to follow, he embarks on an incredible adventure that spans three fantastical worlds where he must face his greatest fears.
Jorge R. Gutierrez directed the movie and co-wrote the script with Doug Langdale. Supported by Diego Luna, Zoe Saldana, Channing Tatum, Christina Applegate, Ice Cube, Ron Perlman and more in the voice cast ensemble, it will head into theaters across the U.S. on October 17.
