The former 'Full House' actor will play a rival to the main hero portrayed by Joshua Sasse in the upcoming musical comedy.

John Stamos will be singing on ABC's fairytale musical comedy "Galavant" during his next visit to the small screen. The former "Full House" star is tapped to play a rival to the titular knight played by Joshua Sasse.
"We are absolutely thrilled that John Stamos is joining us on the series as Galavant's longtime rival - a dashing knight who squares off against him once more in a local joust," said executive producer Dan Fogelman. "We've wanted John to do an arc on this show since inception."
Although Stamos is only set to film one episode next month in England, there is a chance for his character to recur. "He's funny as hell, and he sings, and he looks like Lancelot wishes he looked," gushed Fogelman. "We can't wait!"
The show is expected to debut during as a mid-season fill-in for "Once Upon a Time" during the 2014-15 television season. It centers on Galavant who goes after the evil King Richard to reclaim his reputation and his "Happily Ever After".
