Sources say that the late 'American top 40' host's eldest daughter Kerri will file the claim against her stepmother to Santa Monica Police next Monday.

AceShowbiz - Casey Kasem's daughter Kerri Kasem reportedly will file elder abuse claim against her stepmother Jean Kasem. As reported by New York Daily News, Casey's eldest daughter will submit the claim to Santa Monica Police next Monday.

"I have been hired to gather the facts to prove that Jean Kasem committed a crime. Casey would be alive today - he probably would have lived for another year or more - if it had not been for Jean's cruelty and abuse," a private investigator named Logan Clarke, who is hired by Kerri, additionally told Mail Online on Tuesday, June 17. Logan said that the evidence he gathered would be used in "possible legal actions - both criminal and civil" against Jean.

The formal complaint report emerged just two days after the former "American top 40" passed away at the age of 82. Prior to his death on Father's Day, the radio legend became the center of a public battle between his three children from his first marriage and his widow Jean. The children previously claimed that Jean did not allow them to visit their father when his condition deteriorated. The conflict escalated when Jean removed Casey from a California nursing home to Washington state in May.

"The doctor at the hospital in Santa Monica told Jean that it could kill him if she removed his feeding tube," Logan told the British media, adding that she did it anyway and transported him with no supervising doctor. He also claimed that Jean's previous statement about providing "state-of-the-art medical treatment and 24-hour-a-day care" for Casey was not true, saying, "She would abandon him for 9,10, 11 days at a time. I have notes from doctors saying, 'Mr. Kasem's wife says she's coming to visit him but she never shows up.' "

The private investigator also alleged that Jean cheated on the radio legend with a 40-something Canadian man called "JP" when his illness advanced. "Jean has even moved him into the oceanfront condo she owns in Malibu," he said.
