It appears that Agent Maria Hill's service is needed on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.". Cobie Smulders is tapped to reprise her role as Nick Fury's trusted agent on the ABC series for an upcoming episode set to air on April 29.

Hill will also be part of the May sweeps episode. She first made appearance on the action TV show in the pilot aired in September 2013 and was recently seen in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". Samuel L. Jackson recently spilled the beans that he would also return as Nick Fury in the May 13 finale of the series.

The two return to "S.H.I.E.L.D." following the events in the second "Captain America" movie that became a big game-changer in the organization's existence. "Maria, being the high-level person she was, takes the long view," series executive producer Jeffrey Bell told Marvel of how the character would handle the S.H.I.E.L.D. fallout.

"When she shows up and we know that she's [working] for Stark Industries, in a certain way I think she's looking for a fresh start and a new way for her to help [the world], a new way for her to be involved, a new way for her to do good. But I think it's a great opportunity for her and Coulson to be in some conflict because he's the guy who doesn't want to let go, and she's the one that's clearly moved on."

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." airs Tuesdays at 8 P.M. on ABC. Preview for the next episode reveals that Agent Coulson and his team will go underground to seek refuge in the last place anyone would look.
