Frontman Ryan Tedder recently explained that the song was initially planned to be released as the lead single off their 'Native' album, but was later scrapped after he couldn't 'crack the chorus.'

AceShowbiz - A new song by OneRepublic is currently on the way. On Tuesday, April 8, the band fronted by hitmaker Ryan Tedder took to their SoundCloud page to post the preview of the track titled "Love Runs Out".

The track is going to be officially released on April 14. Lead singer Tedder, who also wrote and produced the song, recently revealed that "Love Runs Out" was originally intended to be the lead single off his band's current album "Native".

" 'Love Runs Out' was originally going to be the first single on our album but I couldn't crack the chorus," Tedder said in a recent interview with the BBC. "It gutted me because I had it marked on the board as 'first single' for six months. Brent Kutzle, who is the cello and bass player in the band, said: 'Man, we cannot put this out with an A+ verse and a B+ chorus.' "

"Native" was released in March, 2013. Having spawned hit singles "Counting Stars" and "Something I Need", the record peaked at No. 4 on Billboard 200.
