Bruce Springsteen performed on the third and last day of March Madness Music Festival in Dallas on Sunday, April 6. The show, which marks the Boss' first North American concert in 2014, took place in the city's Reunion Park as part of the NCAA basketball tournament.
During his set, Springsteen and his The E Street Band treated his fans with the cover of Van Halen's "Jump". The musician appeared on the stage holding a basketball and asked the crowd, "This has something to do with basketball. Am I right?"
Joined onstage by a guitar tech dressing up as a referee, Springsteen and guitarist Nils Lofgren did a jump ball before they and other band members, which currently includes Tom Morello, launched into Van Halen's 1983 song.
The weather was far from perfect when Springsteen and his bandmates performed at the event. Despite that, they managed to entertain the crowd with their songs like "Hungry Heart", "Badlands", "The River", "The Ghost of Tom Joad", "Born to Run", "Glory Days" and "Dancing in the Dark".
