'The Bachelor' Recap: Juan Pablo Dumps an Early Favorite After Hometown Dates
TV

Juan Pablo Galavis eliminates Renee despite getting a greenlight from her parents, and keeps Andi although her father doesn't give him his blessing.

AceShowbiz - Juan Pablo Galavis met the girls' parents in the latest episode of "The Bachelor". The former pro soccer player first headed to Nikki's hometown of Kansas City. She took her to one of the most famous barbecue places in Oklahoma, Joe's Barbecue, and took him for some bull riding.

Nikki's parents were very supportive of her. Juan Pablo told her dad that he liked Nikki's honesty the most. Her dad said he trusted Nikki and would support her whatever she decided. Nikki, meanwhile, wanted to tell Juan Pablo that she loved him, but she never got up the nerve to do it.

The next destination was Atlanta, Andi's hometown. She took him to a gun range where she showed off her shooting skill. She took Juan Pablo to meet her family after he hit a bull's eye after several failed attempts.

Andi's mom asked Juan Pablo to teach her to dance the salsa and she seemed to like him. Andi's father, on the other hand, thought Juan Pablo wasn't "good enough" for his daughter, saying, "He's dating three other people."

Juan Pablo got another warm welcome from Renee's family in Sarasota. He met her son Ben, whom she had not seen in two months. They went to Ben's Little League field and Juan Pablo said, "I can't wait to have a son."

Nikki told her mom, "I'm totally crazy madly in love with him," but she never told him about her feelings because "it didn't flow." Her mom could tell how she was in love with him and her father thought Juan Pablo's a good guy.

The last hometown date was in Sacramento with Clare and her family. She said it was the first time she brought home a guy since her dad passed away and she shared more touching stories about her father to Juan Pablo.

Juan Pablo then met Clare's mom and sisters. One of her sisters, Laura, didn't approve of the relationship, saying Clare was "manipulating" and "disrespecting" their mother. Laura also kept interrupting when Juan Pablo talked to her mother, making Clare cry. Juan Pablo finally convinced Laura how much he cared about Clare and he got to talk alone with her mother. Clare said, "If he can look past my crazy family, I would love to marry him. I would love it. I would absolutely love it."

At the Rose Ceremony, Juan Pablo picked three girls. He gave the roses to Nikki, Clare and Andi, and decided to send Renee home. Renee was clearly sad, admitting that she had fallen in love with him and that she had never felt this way about anyone. "I think you're great," he said to comfort her.
