Syfy has given more sneak peeks at its new show "Helix" via three promo videos. One of them is narrated by a Japanese man and the scene shows a scientist named Dr. Raver dying and bleeding from his mouth in the Arctic.

Another video features three crew members of Arctic Biosystems who "use meditation to counteract the effect of stress," but at the end of the session, one of them is bleeding from the eyes. The third video, meanwhile, shows two scientists who record a video of themselves in an attempt to get chosen to work with Dr. Hiroshi Hitaki at Arctic Biosystems.

A new sci-fi series on Syfy, "Helix" follows a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak. While there, they find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind's salvation or total annihilation.

The cast include Billy Campbell, Hiroyuki Sanada, Kyra Zagorsky, Mark Ghanime, Jordan Hayes, Meegwun Fairbrother, Catherine Lemieux and Neil Napier. Executive produced by "Battlestar Galactica" creator Ronald D. Moore, Steven Maeda ("Lost"), Lynda Obst ("Contact") and Cameron Porsandeh, the intense thriller is set to premiere January 10 at 10/9c.
