'Sesame Street' Spoofs 'Lord of the Rings': Cookie Monster Loses His 'Precious'
TV

Cookie Monster, acting in place of Gollum, has to remember the recipe in order to bring cookies back to Monster Earth.

The hype is now on "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug", but "Sesame Street" decides to take on the previous trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy novels to teach kids how to remember a recipe. The children's show parodies "Lord of the Rings" in a new clip titled "Lord of the Crumbs".

It follows Cookie Monster as Gobble, which is a substitute for Gollum, who loses his "precious" cookie recipe. With the help of a golden-haired elf, he tries to remember the recipe using rhyme.

After several times fighting the urge to eat the ingredients separately, Gobble finally passes the test to bake cookies "in the fires of Mount Crumb" a.k.a. oven and brings the dessert back to Monster Earth.

Just last month, "Sesame Street" spoofed "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" before the movie opened in U.S. theaters on November 22.
