Stefan loses his cool as he tries to use Aaron to save Elena and Damon, who are kidnapped by Dr. Wes.

Stefan will try to bargain with Dr. Wes to free Elena and Damon in the midseason finale of "The Vampire Diaries". The younger Salvatore holds Aaron hostage in an attempt to save his loved ones, who are still locked in Wes' torture chamber.
Stefan looks very mad and ready to kill as he holds Aaron by the throat up against a wall, warning Aaron not to test him. Meanwhile, Enzo, who is still alive after left to die by Damon in 1950s, may turn against Damon.
"Fifty Shades of Grayson" will air Thursday, December 12 at 8/7c on The CW. Damon realizes Elena is in danger and enlists Stefan's help to find her. The brothers pay a visit to Aaron (guest star Shaun Sipos), and Damon shocks Stefan by revealing his first-hand knowledge of Aaron's family. In an attempt to stop Damon, Dr. Wes (guest star Rick Cosnett) unleashes his secret weapon, forcing Damon to deal with a part of his past he thought was gone forever, as well as the consequences of his decades-long plan for revenge.
Meanwhile, Elena is horrified by Dr. Wes' confessions about the dark history of Whitmore College and his own ultimate goal. Finally, a frantic Katherine turns to Matt for help, until she realizes that Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda) may be the one who can solve her problem.
The show will go on hiatus after the said episode and return on January 23.
