Optimus Prime does get an upgrade in "Transformers: Age of Extinction". A first official look at the newly-redesigned Autobot leader in the Michael Bay upcoming action film was revealed on the front page of Empire magazine's latest issue.

Compared to his version in the first three movies starring Shia LaBeouf, Optimus now seems to have more rounded edges and a different muzzle. The robot voiced by Peter Cullen looks fierce in a fighting mode while wielding his sword.

New human cast Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz are also featured on the magazine's cover. They are joined in the movie by Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer and more. Bumblebee and Dinobots are also expected to make appearances.

The fourth installment of the "Transformers" movie franchise is slated to arrive in theaters nationwide on June 27, 2014.
