'The Oath', which just launched on AMC website, finds two survivors ending up at a hospital where Rick wakes up in following his month-long coma on the first episode of the show.

A few weeks shy of "The Walking Dead" return, AMC debuts a new web series based on the hit show. Titled "The Oath", it follows Karina (Ashley Bell) and Paul (Wyatt Russell), the only two survivors of a ravaged camp.

They soon realize that Paul needs immediate medical attention, which brings them to a hospital where they meet a doctor, Gale (Ellen Greene). Instead of helping Paul stay alive, Gale brings the still unconscious Paul to a locked up cafetaria full of walkers, or as they call them "decays." Paul manages to get out the cafetaria but it's too late for Karina, who chose to get euthanized rather than living "alone" after being told by Gale that Paul's going to die.

The hospital is the same one where Rick Grimes wakes up in after a month in a coma on the first episode of the series. Paul also turns out to be the one who spray-paints the words, "Don't Open. Dead Inside," on the cafeteria doors which Rick sees after waking up from his coma.

"The Oath" is divided into three parts which total roughly 25 minutes. Like the previous webisodes, it's directed by "Walking Dead" executive producer and special effects supervisor Greg Nicotero.

"The Walking Dead" season 4 premieres Sunday, October 13 at 9 P.M. on AMC.
