After "Happy Endings" was canceled by ABC, Damon Wayans Jr. is creating a new show as his own starring vehicle. The son of actor Damon Wayans is developing "Man/Child", which has landed at FOX with a pilot production commitment.

The half-hour comedy from Wayans Jr. and "Modern Family" co-executive producer and director Jason Winer revolves around two single dads who move in together and struggle to find the balance between being responsible parents and debaucherous bachelors. Winer will direct the pilot.

"Wilfred" showrunners Reed Agnew and Eli Jorne will write and executive produce the show, with Michael Lasker and Christie Smith serving as nonwriting executive producers. 20th Century Fox TV and Small Dog Picture Company will produce the pilot.

"Happy Endings", on which Wayans Jr. had a regular role as Brad Williams, was axed after three seasons. He will reprise his role as Coach in at least 4 episodes of "New Girl" season 3 after appearing in the pilot.
