Britney Spears has ended months of speculation as she finally confirms her Las Vegas residency. Appearing on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, September 17, the 31-year-old singer announced that she had inked a two-year deal to perform 50 shows each year at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

The show, which will be called "Britney: Piece of Me", will open on December 27. Spears promised fans that the show would feature her old hits as well as her new music. "We wanted the environment to be that way so people could come and have a good time and stand up and feel like they're in the show with me." Spears said in an interview on the ABC show.

"I love it here. The energy here is really, really good," the mother of two continued. "I am definitely going to do the greatest hits but I am going to have to put my new material in it to keep it fresh."

Ranging from $59 to $179, tickets for Spears' "Britney: Piece of Me" go on sale on September 20. According to TMZ, the "Toxic" hitmaker will be paid $310,000 per show, which means $15 million per year.

Spears has also announced the release date for her upcoming eighth album. The follow-up to 2011's "Femme Fatale", which is currently untitled, is set to arrive on December 3. The new album has generated a single called "Work B**ch", which Spears released earlier than scheduled last week following a leak.
