Fox News Channel has announced its new primetime schedule. Adding a new show to its line-up, the channel plans to launch "The Kelly File" at 9 P.M. The show marks Megyn Kelly's move from daytime to primetime.

With the arrival of "The Kelly File", Sean Hannity's veteran broadcast "Hannity" will move to 10 P.M. This also means a move for Greta Van Susteren's "On the Record", which previously occupied the 10 P.M. slot, to 7 P.M. "The O'Reilly Factor", meanwhile, remains in its 8 P.M. time slot. The new schedule will go into effect Monday, October 7, which happens to be the channel's 17th anniversary.

" 'Hannity' is the leading conservative voice in America," said executive vp programming Bill Shine. "He has been a major star on both radio and television for more than a decade and we were happy to accommodate his schedule and retain him as a vital part of our lineup."

As for the new show "The Kelly File", it will focus on late-breaking stories in a live format as well as in-depth investigative reports interspersed with newsmaker interviews.
