Jessica Alba to Leap Into Action as Bad Girl in 'Barely Lethal'
Movie

The 'Fantastic Four' actress will star opposite Hailee Steinfeld and Samuel L. Jackson in the Kyle Newman-directed movie.

AceShowbiz - Director Kyle Newman has reportedly cast Jessica Alba in his upcoming action comedy movie, "Barely Lethal". According to Screen Daily, the sexy mother of two has agreed to take part in the film from RKO Pictures as a villain. She is the latest addition to the cast ensemble after Hailee Steinfeld and Samuel L. Jackson, both of whom were cast months ago.

Written by John D'Arco, the film will feature "Ender's Game" actress Steinfeld as a 16-year-old international assassin yearning for a "normal" adolescence. She fakes her own death and enrolls as a senior in a suburban high school where she quickly learns that being popular can be more painful than getting water-boarded.

Already having experienced in performing some action sequences thanks to the production of "Dark Angel" and "Fantastic Four", Alba will portray Victoria Knox, who pursues Megan. Jackson, meanwhile, has been on board to play Megan's mentor who trains her in the program.

Brett Ratner, who is currently busy working on "Hercules: The Thracian Wars", will get involved in the project as a producer alongside Vanessa Coifman, Ted Hartley and Sukee Chew. Production is reportedly set to start on October 17.

Alba will next be seen in "A.C.O.D." and "Machete Kills".
