AceShowbiz - Michael Franti & Spearhead has just dropped a music video for "I'm Alive (Life Sounds Like)". Beginning with some people whistling, the video sees some people having fun and dancing to the upbeat song in an abandoned town while the plain walls are projecting fun and colorful shapes.

"I'm Alive (Life Sounds Like)" is going to be featured on the hip hop group's forthcoming album, a follow-up to its 2010's "The Sound of Sunshine". The song features a lot of whistling and some references to famous couples like John Lennon and Yoko Ono and Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles. The song also features a little part of Train's hit, "Hey, Soul Sister".

Through the song, Franti wants to tell his fans that someone can be happy just by being with someone they love. "Everybody wants me to be who they want me to be except you/ All I wanna do is be with you/ They all tell me that there's something strange/ I don't wanna be with nobody new/ All I wanna do is be with you," Franti sings.

"How could every day something jumps in the way/ Gets complicated, I feel devastated/ But when I'm feeling down, I only wanna be with you/ I can't afford the rent or remember checks I sent/ To pay off all my taxes and feed the president/ But there's one thing I remember, I only wanna be with you," he continues.

The music video was directed by Zach Merck and produced by Alfred Tomaszewski.
