Newseum takes part in promotional activities for upcoming highly-anticipated film, "Anchorman: The Legend Continues". The Washington D.C.-based institution, which is devoted to the history of the media, throws "Anchorman: The Exhibit" in honor of fictional news anchor Ron Burgundy and his three partners.

"For millions of viewers, the news anchor represents the authority and credibility of television news. But anchormen and women also are popular targets for pop culture laughs," Cathy Trost, the vice president of Newseum, says in a statement. "The exhibit explores the reality behind the humor of 'Anchorman' and tracks the rise of personality-driven news formats in the 1970s."

Fans will not only get a chance to see iconic props, including Burgundy's jazz flute and Arturo Mendez's whip used during the filming of a fight scene, much closer, but also take photos in the KVWN-TV anchor desk and news set.

Starting on November 14, the exhibit is said to be on display until August 31, 2014.

"The Legend Continues" is once again directed by Adam McKay and produced by Judd Apatow. The second film of the franchise is merely said to center on the continuing on-set adventures of San Diego's top rated newsman.

Featuring a cameo appearance from Drake, the sequel to 2004's "Anchorman" will open nationwide on December 20.
