AceShowbiz - How Anna Nicole Smith will be revived in a Lifetime movie has been unveiled in a first-look photo. The image, which makes its way out via TV Guide, features Agnes Bruckner in her portrayal of the late bombshell. Wearing a red short dress, she is pictured landing a kiss on the forehead of 84-year-old Martin Landau, who portrays the model's millionaire husband J. Howard Marshall.
Bruckner tells the magazine, "Martin told me he met Anna Nicole through Hugh Hefner. So the first time I showed up on set, he looked at me with awe in the same way J. Howard probably looked at Anna." She further says that the couple "needed each other. He made her feel special, and she took away his loneliness."
To play the voluptuous Smith, Bruckner underwent a physical transformation with facial, neck and breast prosthetics, fat suits as well as bluish death makeup. The actress reveals, "The breasts took three hours to apply. It was unbelievable how they turned out. I could dance in them, and they even survived a swim in the pool."
"Anna Nicole (2013)" will capture the true life story of the American model, whose real name is Vicky Lynn Hogan, from a small town girl to a Hollywood babe. Determined to be noticed, for good or ill, Vicky gets her wish, but it comes at a steep price, both for her and her beloved son, Danny.
"American Psycho" helmer Mary Harron serves as director, while Virginia Madsen is cast as Smith's mother Virgie who raised her in Texas. The TV movie will premiere Saturday, June 29 on Lifetime.
