A new photo for Neil Burger's upcoming film "Divergent" might make one's hair stand on end. Previously giving a first look at Shailene Woodley as a knife-throwing target, Entertainment Weekly this time presents the actress perching on a top of a building to jump as one of requirements of being a Dauntless, the one she chooses among five factions.

Asked by the site about the situation captured in the photo, Burger explains, "In this photo she's already jumped off the train and onto a seven story building as part of the initiation rite for the Dauntless. The next thing they have to do is jump from the building and down through a courtyard that has a deep, black hole."

Using the former Spiegel building for the location, the filmmaker admits that the shooting has been indeed frightening. "We'd been nervously planning it because it is dangerous and there's a lot of people on that roof. We had to pull it off safely and also pull it off cinematically," he says. "So you have this knot in your stomach as you watch this young woman decide to do this crazy thing."

Burger then adds, "I think this scene really is emblematic of the movie: It shows the energy and the rawness of the way we're telling the story."

Based on Veronica Roth's best-selling novel of the same name, "Divergent" takes place in a near-future Chicago where society is divided up into five factions based on their personalities. Tris learns that she doesn't belong in any of them, which are called Divergents, before eventually choosing to be a part of Dauntless family.

Also starring Kate Winslet, the upcoming pic is set for a March 21, 2014 release in the United States.
