The long-awaited trailer for slasher film "You're Next" has finally made its way out via Apple. Set to Lou Reed's "Perfect Day", the video ironically features a brutal murder by a gang of mysterious killers wearing animal masks which ruins a family reunion.
Dubbed one of the smartest and most terrifying films in years, "You're Next" reinvents the genre by putting a fresh twist on home-invasion horror. When a gang of masked, ax-wielding murderers descend upon the Davison family reunion, the hapless victims seem trapped...until an unlikely guest of the family proves to be the most talented killer of all.
The horror thriller is written by Simon Barrett and directed by Adam Wingard. Sharni Vinson, Amy Seimetz, A. J. Bowen, Barbara Crampton and Rob Moran are among the cast members.
The movie had its world premiere at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival Midnight Madness program. It won the Syfy prize at the 20th edition of the international festival of fantastic movies at Gerardmer (France) in February this year. Lionsgate Films will distribute the film in theaters across the nation on August 23.
