AceShowbiz - An extended look at "Smash" season 2 has made its way out via Yahoo!. The approximately 4-minute sneak peek promises more drama as Karen and Ivy are still at each other's throats, with both seemingly facing similar problem as they try so hard to impress Derek.

After breaking up with Jaffrey, Karen will soon find a new love in Jeremy Jordan's character. Tensions arise between longtime songwriting partners Julia and Tom, while Eileen drops the bad news that she faces some funding issue for their Broadway show.

The promo video also gives a look at some other new faces, Sean Hayes, Bernadette Peters as well as Jennifer Hudson, who portrays a Tony Award-winning Broadway star impacting the lives of Karen and Ivy. She is seen belting out a song throughout the snippet.

The second season of "Smash" will premiere Tuesday, February 5 at 9 P.M. ET on NBC before airing in its regular slot starting Tuesday, February 12 at 10 P.M. ET. The musical series recently added Liza Minnelli to its list of guest stars.
