While many are speculating about details of "Guardians of the Galaxy", an alleged plot of the Marvel Studios upcoming project surfaces online. The rumored synopsis is posted on It's on the Grid, suggesting that the story focuses on a space pilot.
According to the posting, the film will be "about a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants."
Though the name of the protagonist isn't mentioned, it's presumed that the pilot is Peter Quill a.k.a Star-Lord, who was part of the original Guardians of the Galaxy team. Aside from Star-Lord, other characters that may appear in the upcoming comic book movie include Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Drax the Destroyer and Gamora.
The script for "Guardians of the Galaxy" is currently being written by Black List scribe Chris McCoy. Marvel/Walt Disney Pictures has yet to clarify whether the rumored plot is correct or not. The project still hasn't found its director and the cast ensemble still hasn't been announced, but it is already skedded to open in the U.S. on August 1, 2014.
