"The Good Wife" has added Kristin Chenoweth to the cast ensemble of its fourth season. The Broadway star will appear in a recurring role as a political reporter, who wants to find out all the details on Peter Florrick's campaign for governor, as well as his and Alicia's marriage.

The former "Pushing Daisies" star will make her debut on the Julianna Margulies-starring drama in the season 4 premiere. She will join previously announced guest stars Maura Tierney and Marc Warren. The "ER" alumna will portray "a self-made millionaire who has become the doyenne of Chicago Democratic politics," while the British actor will play Kalinda's manipulative ex-husband.

Chenoweth had a regular role on ABC's comedy "GCB", but the show got canceled in May after only one season. The Tony Award and Emmy Award-winning actress has also recurred on FOX's drama musical "Glee" as April Rhodes.

UPDATE (June 27, 2012 12:07 P.M. GMT): Soon after it's reported that Kristin Chenoweth joins "The Good Wife" for its fourth season, Tony Award winner Nathan Lane has also been cast in a recurring role. Details of his character, however, are not available just yet.
