Jewel Kilcher has unveiled how she will look like as June Carter Cash in Lifetime's TV movie "Ring of Fire". The country music singer took to her Twitter to share a picture of her in character, writing in a caption of the photo, "Here I am as June in my trailer with her blue eyes and perfect teeth."
To portray the late music icon, the "Foolish Game" crooner trades her blonde hair with brown wavy locks. She additionally dons blue contact lenses and prosthetic teeth during the filming that takes place in Atlanta.
Also known as "The June Carter Cash Story", the upcoming biopic is based on the memoir "Anchored in Love: An Intimate Portrait of June Carter Cash" by June and John Carter's son John Carter Cash. The story follows June from early childhood growing up in the rural mountains of Virginia to her relationship with Johnny, who will be played by Matt Ross.
Recently added to the cast line-up are Frances Conroy and John Doe. The "Six Feet Under" actress will tackle the role of June's mother Maybelle Carter, who was a member of the legendary The Carter Family. As for the founder of punk band X, he will star as June's uncle A.P. Carter, who was also a founding member of the country music group.
