As Los Angeles police continue their search of the missing Nick Stahl, words came out that this isn't the first time the 32-year-old actor has disappeared. A source close to Stahl has informed E! News that the John Connor of "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" has "gone missing for a day before, but never longer than that."

Of Stahl's previous disappearance, the so-called insider said, "He always gets in touch. This is the longest time he has been away. He doesn't have a cell phone on him, so there is no way to contact him." The source added, "He has been to skid row [in downtown Los Angeles] before and that's why the police are looking there. Everyone just wants him to come home."

The source also talked about Stahl's situation before he went missing. "He has been having a tough time for a couple of months. He's an incredible individual, an amazing father - but addiction is something he has always struggled with," so the source noted. "He works so hard at staying sober, but it's a constant struggle."

In the meantime, authorities didn't believe that foul play was involved. Los Angeles Police Department Detective Carmine Sasso said, as quoted by PEOPLE, "Were not treating it like a crime. We're not pounding the pavement or knocking on doors on this one, just networking." He added, "Certain factors are contributing to him being missing. There's really nothing mysterious about it."

Stahl was reported missing since May 9 by his wife Roseann, who filed court papers seeking child support for their 2-year-old daughter in February. Detective Sasso previously told the press that the actor "has got some personal issues that he's trying to work through," and that his "family asks that this be kept very low-key."
