The first sneak peek at star-studded crime thriller "Savages" has finally been unveiled. Being released via MTV News, the short teaser shows Taylor Kitsch's Chon and Aaron Johnson's Ben getting into an action to save their shared girlfriend Ophelia, played by Blake Lively.

Chon and Ben are two best friends from Laguna Beach who date the same woman. Together, they work to distribute the best-quality pot on the planet. When they resist being muscled by a Mexican drug cartel, their girl is kidnapped and the ransom is every cent they've made for the last five years. The two buddies finally agree to pay but hatch an alternate plan to get their girlfriend back, get revenge, and then get lost.

Based on a novel of the same name by Don Winslow, "Savages" is also supported by a host of notable actors such as John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Emile Hirsch, Salma Hayek and Demian Bichir. Benicio Del Toro, meanwhile, tackles the part of the villainous Mexican drug mafia.

Three-time Oscar winner Oliver Stone serves as the director, while Winslow teams up with Shane Salerno to pen the script. Universal Pictures will release the movie in the U.S. on July 6.
