While guessing what's inside Elena's heart, Damon will accompany the mortal beauty to visit Jeremy in Denver and see if he can use his powers to get more information about vampire bloodlines.

Elena and Damon are heading to Denver when "The Vampire Diaries" returns in April after a two-week hiatus. The twosome travel across the country to make sure Jeremy is safe and to see if his special abilities can help reveal the information they need about ancient vampire bloodlines.
"You traveled across the country to get me to talk to a dead vampire?" Jeremy asks in disbelief. During their visit, Elena and Damon soon learn that Jeremy has been hanging with the wrong people.
It seems that the trip will bring Elena and Damon closer since they are seen sharing a bed together in a preview. At one point, Elena reveals to Damon, "Stefan thinks I have feelings for you," while Stefan admits, "No matter what I have gone through, none of that matter if she has feelings for someone else."
Also in the upcoming episode, Stefan and Klaus both go to brutal extremes in their search for the missing weapon. Caroline is thrilled when Tyler returns to town, but Tyler soon suspects that something has been going on between Caroline and Klaus. Meanwhile, Matt has his hands full trying to keep Rebecca busy organizing the school's upcoming 1920s Decade Dance.
"Heart of Darkness" will air Thursday, April 19 at 8/7c on The CW.
