Joe Carnahan's intense thriller "The Grey" has its red band trailer available for viewing pleasure. Compared to the previously released trailer, this one offers a look at more brutal fight scenes between a group of surviving men and wild hungry wolves. In addition to giving a look at bloody carnage, dead bodies and rude dialogues, the sneak peek reveals the mesmerizing landscape of the untamed Alaskan wilderness.

In the anticipated movie, a group of oil-rig roughnecks are left stranded on the sub-arctic tundra after their plane experiences a complete mechanical failure and crashes into the remote Alaskan wilderness. Battling mortal injuries, cold weather and ravenous hunger, the survivors are relentlessly hunted and pursued by a vicious pack of rouge wolves.

Tackling the part of the survivors' leader in "The Grey" is Oscar nominee Liam Neeson. Frank Grillo, Dermot Mulroney, Dallas Roberts, James Badge Dale, Joe Anderson and Nonso Anozie are additionally filling the supporting roles. In addition to working behind the lens, Carnahan writes the script along with Ian Jeffers.

Open Road Films has scheduled to release the movie in theaters across the U.S. on January 27.
