With the date coming closer, The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) announces more details surrounding the November 28 show in New York City. Showtime stars Oliver Platt of "The Big C" and Edie Falco of "Nurse Jackie" would be the hosts of this year's Gotham Independent Film Awards.

Platt was nominated in Best Ensemble Cast for "Please Give" in last year's ceremony but did not win. He and Falco are co-stars in Marc Turtletaub's upcoming indie, "Gods Behaving Badly" which is expected to be released next year. He plays Apollo while she plays Artemis.

At the same time, it was also announced the Top 5 nominees for the Gotham Independent Film Audience Award. Voting is conducted twice, the first round which has passed and the second which will be held in between November 7 and November 20 at 11:59 P.M. EST.
