Chloe King is seemingly enjoying the supernatural abilities that she has as a part of an ancient race. In a new clip debuted via BuddyTV for the second episode of "The Nine Lives of Chloe King", the teenage girl is seen using her claw to pick up an apple for a breakfast, but drops it before her mother can seen what she is doing.

The new show has just been premiered Tuesday, June 14 on ABC Family and did well in rating with 2.2 million viewers. Following Chloe, a girl who has the gift of nine lives and is believed to be the savior of the Mai race, the drama sci-fi series has drawn a comparison to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".

Skyler Samuels who takes the lead role recently shared what her character will deal with. "She's trying to figure out who she is, how to talk to a boy, how to maintain a relationship with her two best friends, how to talk to her mom about dating or putting away her laundry, the usual things," she explained.

"At the same time she discovers that being a teenager just wasn't enough. She's got this added factor of these supernatural abilities that she has," Samuels added. Chloe will also struggle with the decision to tell her mother about her new powers as Samuels said, "I think Chloe is a littler nervous to bring this thing to her mom because it's like, How do I tell her? Maybe she won't love me anymore. What does this mean? What does she know?' "

"The Nine Lives of Chloe King" airs every Tuesday at 9 P.M. after "Pretty Little Liars". The next episode, "Redemption", will see Chloe dealing with a feeling that she is responsible for Xavier's death.
