DreamWorks Announces Release Dates for Upcoming Animations

'How to Train Your Dragon 2' and 'Mr. Peabody and Sherman' are just given their release dates, while 'Madagascar 3' is moved to a new date.

DreamWorks Animation has unveiled their official line-up of 2011-2014 animated films. The studio announces they will release "How to Train Your Dragon 2" on June 20, 2014, "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" on March 21, 2014, "Me and My Shadow" on November 8, 2013 and "Turbo" on June 7, 2013.

Beside setting release dates for those movies, DreamWorks also switches release dates for several other films. "The Croods" which was initially plotted for March 30, 2012 release is moved to early the same month. Meanwhile, "Madagascar 3" which was set to arrive in the U.S. on May 18, 2012 is pushed back to June 8 the same year.

"Thanks to the extraordinary talent base at DreamWorks Animation today, our feature film slate is full of both original story ideas and exciting new franchise chapters that will form a solid foundation for the studio's creative output through 2014," says Bill Damaschke, the Company's Chief Creative Officer, in the press release.

Through the press release, DreamWorks additionally affirms release dates for this year's movies, "Kung Fu Panda 2" and "Puss in Boots", and releases synopsis for the movies mentioned on the line-up.
