Details of 'Green Lantern' Villains and Fighting Sequences Unveiled
Movie

Among the highlights is that Krona becomes the first host to Parallax, which will kill Hector Hammond before fighting Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris on Earth.

AceShowbiz - More of what perhaps people should know about upcoming "Green Lantern" have been shared. Comic Book Movie, which previously revealed that Krona and Parallax will appear in the film, has found out more details about the characters and how they will relate to the storyline.

[SPOILER ALERT!] Krona is said to become the first host to Parallax which is the universal personification of fear as explained in the movie's prologue. This Parallax does not only feed off of fear but also rips out its victims' souls, leaving them as dried corpses.

Later, Parallax/Krona will attack Abin Sur's ship and this causes him to crash land on Earth and die. Hector Hammond, who performs an autopsy on Abin Sur's corpse, will get infected by a fragment of Parallax and Hector will gain exponential telepathic and telekinetic powers.

Hector then attacks Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris at the Ferris airfield hanger. This scene is reportedly similar to the one in "Green Lantern Secret Origins" comic, but different in a way that Hector wants Hal's Green Lantern ring.

Hector, however, will be ultimately killed by Parallax which absorbs his soul in the manner mentioned above. Parallax will fight Hal and Carol on Earth in uneven match until other members of the Green Lantern come to help them.

"Green Lantern" is filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana and has just wrapped production earlier this month. Taking the titular role is Ryan Reynolds, with Blake Lively playing Hal Jordan's love interest Carol Ferris. Mark Strong and Peter Sarsgaard are cast as villainous characters Sinestro and Hector Hammond respectively.

Martin Campbell serves behind the lens for the action superhero movie with the script penned by Michael Goldenberg, Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim as well as Michael Green. This big screen adaptation of DC character will hit U.S. theaters on June 17, 2011.
