Madonna reportedly is impressed with Janet Jackson's performance at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards during which Janet danced to "Scream", her duet track with Michael Jackson, to honor her brother. Rumor has it, Madonna has met Janet to talk about the possibility of them working together on a tribute song for the late King of Pop.
"It was a meeting of two great musical minds," a source told Britain's OK! Magazine. "Madonna was so impressed with Janet's tribute to Michael that they started talking about how great it would be to honour him by doing something together ... There was definitely something very interesting being planned between them."
Madonna delivered a heartfelt speech before Janet Jackson paid homage to Michael Jackson at this year's MTV VMAs. "All I could think about in that moment [when he passed away] was that I had abandoned him. That we had abandoned him," Madonna told the event's audience at Radio City Music Hall on September 13.
