Paul McCartney is said to have worked on a number of tour dates around the world before he retires from the road for good. Among other places he chose to visit on the tour reportedly are China's Tiananmen Square and Berlin's Checkpoint Charlie.
"Paul wants to go out with a bang. He's played countless stadiums over his 50-year career and is on the hunt for the most unusual locations he can find," a source told The Sun. "He realizes that the older he gets, the less his body will be able to cope with the demands of extended periods on the road."
"He might play the odd benefit gig if the likes of PRESIDENT OBAMA gives him a bell - but other than that he'll be putting his feet up and enjoying retirement," the source continued explaining the matter. "The tour in 2010 is likely to last well over a year, by which time he will be almost 70."
Paul McCartney's last tour was held in 2003 when he traveled around the globe in a roadshow dubbed "In the World Tour". The Beatles' former member has, ever since, performed in several music festivals, one-off concerts as well as charity events after the gig was wrapped.
